Everything felt overly aggressive, overly processed, and way too sweet, while still being marketed as “healthy.” It didn’t match how I ate, shopped, or lived. I wanted a jerky made from real cuts of beef, simple ingredients I could trust, and packaging that felt easy and approachable, not intimidating.

The idea for Strip came together while I was in culinary school, where I became focused on doing jerky the right way. We use inside round beef, keep our ingredient list tight, and lightly sweeten with honey so the flavor stays balanced, not candy-like. The result is jerky that actually tastes good and doesn’t come with the overpowering smell people associate with traditional jerky.
